How the money raised will make a difference?
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read about our fundraiser for 2023. We'd love for you to get involved and help us out! This year, we're raising money, knitting mittens for babies with cancer and crocheting throws for the Challenge retreat house in Healesville.
Challenge is a not-for-profit organisation that supports children and families living with cancer, 365 days a year. Their support is free and immediate, helping to lighten the cancer journey by addressing the practical, social, and emotional needs of all their members.
There are several ways you can get involved....
1. Crocheters: Purchase a Challenge Yarn Pack and crochet the Challenge Crochet Square, to be included in comfort throws for the Challenge retreat house in Healesville
2. Knitters: Help keep tiny hands warm and stop babies from tugging on their life-saving tubes by knitting a pair of mitts, or even three!
3. Supporters: Make $ donation via the link below or purchase a yellow ribbon, instore at Crumbz Craft, to support Challenge Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
Help us reach our $5k target by asking your friends and family to sponsor you to make the crochet squares or knit the mittens. Simply share the Donate link above which will redirect friends and family to the secure Challenge Account where donations can be made directly.

Challenge is a unique organisation that has a very personal connection to children and families living with cancer. The wellbeing of the entire family is Challenge’s fundamental concern. Through their programs and services, they aim to make life easier as children deal with a life-threatening illness.
Challenge provides an extensive range of non-medical support services including playgroup, music and art therapy, massage therapy and practical information. In the community, Challenge offers camps, tickets to sporting matches and concerts, holiday accommodation, parent retreats, home help, financial support and educational scholarship opportunities. In hospital, Challenge has a daily interface on the ward which involves providing equipment, activities and support.
