TACKLING CHILDHOOD CANCER TOGETHER
As part of a long-standing partnership, the Essendon Football Club will mark its eighth annual Tackling Childhood Cancer game in support of Challenge families living with cancer. 22 Challenge kids will have their dreams come true when they run onto the ground hand-in-hand with their AFL superheroes.
This year's Tackling Childhood Cancer match will take place in Round 9 when the Dons take on The Giants.
This is a unique opportunity for our kids and their families to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience and raise vital funds and awareness.
Since 2017, the Bombers have committed to one game each season to help bring awareness to childhood cancer. Challenge is truly honoured for the Essendon Football Club's continual support and strong relationship.
Clash for Cancer
The Bombers will proudly wear the Challenge logo on the front of their guernsey which also features the yellow armband, inspired by former premiership player and cancer survivor Adam Ramanauskas.
