Challenge is a unique organisation that has a very personal connection to children and families living with cancer. The wellbeing of the entire family is Challenge’s fundamental concern. Through their programs and services, they aim to make life easier as children deal with a life-threatening illness.
Challenge provides an extensive range of non-medical support services including playgroup, music and art therapy, massage therapy and practical information. In the community, Challenge offers camps, tickets to sporting matches and concerts, holiday accommodation, parent retreats, home help, financial support and educational scholarship opportunities. In hospital, Challenge has a daily interface on the ward which involves providing equipment, activities and support.

Bleed for Bloods

Bleed for Bloods Day – Sunday 9 August
Join us for one of the most meaningful days on the WJFC calendar as we come together for our annual Bleed for Bloods Day.
It's a day of football, community and family, dedicated to raising awareness of the vital need for blood and plasma donations through Lifeblood, while also raising much-needed funds for Challenge – supporting kids with cancer.
Bleed for Bloods is a cause our club holds very close to its heart, and as it also marks the final home round of the season, we'd love to see all our Bloods families at the clubrooms to celebrate together before finishing the day with our final family night of the year.
During the evening we'll also present two of the club's most significant honours:

Jacob Habel Trophy – Youth Courage Award
Recognising a young person who demonstrates courage, resilience, kindness, humility and the ability to inspire others—qualities that Jacob embodied both on and off the field. -
Ben McKellar Perpetual Shield – Club Captain Award
Presented in honour of former Colt Ben McKellar, celebrating outstanding leadership, commitment and service to the club.
