Barmah Day Crew was founded by Craig and Leesa Gathercole to honour the memory of their son, Tommy, who passed away from leukemia in 2006. The initiative reflects their deep connection with Challenge, an organisation dedicated to supporting children and families facing cancer. Both Craig and Leesa have been heavily involved with Challenge for over a decade—Craig serving on the board and Leesa playing a key role on the Challenge Ball committee.
